Thank you Whitson Quartet from Redmaids School

Huge thank you to the Whitson Quartet who played for our annual tea party (socially distanced of course) which was held at Lockleaze Sports Centre.

All four girls are from Redmaids’ High school in Westbury-on-Trym. They are called The Whitson Quartet, named after their founder, John Whitson who left provision in his will for the founding of a school for girls (who would be apparelled in Red). The school was founded in 1634. The quartet was formed two years ago and the girls, Alice, Sarah, Hannah and Téa age from 14-16 years of age. As well as their academic studies, they play and sing in lots of ensembles in school and play to the residents of St Monica’s weekly in a voluntary capacity. Three of the four are also members of the Bristol Youth Orchestra. This is their first opportunity to play live inside in the last 18 months.
