Ruth joined the Anchor Society Board in April 2022. She brings with her a wealth of experience particularly in the field of equalities and inclusion.
For 18 years Ruth was Equalities and Development Manager at Voscur. She is now a freelance consultant working with a range of organisations across the city. Ruth was named as one of the 100 most influential women in the West in 2018.
Ruth co-founded two theatre companies: Black Women Let Loose Theatre Company is a Bristol-based Community Interest Company and Breathing Fire, a Black Women’s Playback company which uses the performing arts in a therapeutic and educational way.
