What people have said about us

The Anchor Society receive applications through a variety of individuals and organisations who ensure that grants are going where they are most needed. Here is what some of the organisations applying to us had to say:

“Just to let you know that because of your help we have been able to fit a new boiler at Mr and Mrs L’s home. Mr and Mrs L were thrilled to have the boiler fitted and are much happier and warmer!”
– Carole Rendall, Caseworker, WE Care & Repair, April 2016

“I just wanted to say thank you very much for the grant that you gave me for a new bed. It will make a huge difference to my life which I could not have afforded without your help. I will have much more comfortable nights and that will make an enormous difference to my life”
– Emergency grant recipient, April 2016

“The Anchor Society have provided much needed support to help people purchase essential items for their properties. Without your financial support the transition in to their new homes would have been much more difficult. The help of The Anchor Society has been invaluable. Thank you.”
Andy Herbert, Principal Supported Housing Officer, Hathaway House

“Mrs M asked me to pass on her thanks to you – and to let you know how grateful she is to your charity for the help you have given her.  Thank you too from me – it is so easy to contact you and it is so good to be able to get quick answers about whether it is possible for your charity to help people who are so often in very difficult situations.”
Nicola Bridger, Caseworker, WE Care & Repair
